Sustainable Yoga for Athletes
This class offered by Sarah Lagasse, will be held at our new second location on the Boise bench at Energetic Health Center, 1103 N. Orchard, Boise, ID 83706, on Mondays, 5:30-6:45 pm. Start date to be announced soon. Please call 20-345-7113 to be put on wait list.
This class is also now being offered at our Parkcenter location beginning on Thursdays, October 15th, 5:30-6:45 pm. These are 10-week session. Drop-ins welcome using YFW class pass or $13/class.
This class is designed for athletes, but is appropriate for students of all levels who want to develop flexibility and strength. Repetitive sports like running and cycling can exacerbate imbalances in the body and shorten muscles. Yoga offers a way to identify tight areas, and with the use of the breath, relax into poses that can elongate muscles. We will focus on developing core strength, balance, and flexibility. Yoga is a wonderful complement to any activity. Come expecting a yoga class that incorporates asanas (poses) and repetitive motions to build strength and flexibility in a safe, light atmosphere. Learn the fundamentals of yoga and the connection between breath and posture, increase awareness of the body, and enhance your athletic performance. The sequences offered will vary each week creating sustainable practices for an ever changing body and life.
